Welcome to ST-ART!

ST-ART is a registered charity that offers a range of creative art activities for young people, taking place during school holidays and after school. We aim to develop creativity and channel young imaginations, fostering a love of art from a young age. ST-ART works with young people up to 16 years, but primarily with 7-16 yr olds.

Art Club at The Ropewalk

We’re back!

Schools are back and so is ST-ART!

The first of the Wednesday evening art clubs of the new programme is tonight.  The younger group will be making a wire cactus and the older group will be making a peg planter. The clubs run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and costs just £1.50 for each young person. We look forward to seeing you all!

The popular Art Club offers weekly sessions with professional artists, every Wednesday evening (term time only) from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Young people practise a range of arts and crafts, from wire sculptures to screen printed bags, tie-dye t-shirts to collages and paintings. The club is open to all young people aged 7-19 years (one group for 7-11 year olds, and one group for 12-19 year olds), at a cost of £1.50 per person.

Sew Simple

Monthly sewing classes for young people, based at The Ropewalk, will be starting in January 2019. Working with professional artists, young people will learn different skills including knitting, crochet, tapestry, weaving and embroidery using hand-stitch and a sewing machine, and create a range of projects to take home.
